Who we are
NKeys Auto is a mobile auto locksmith run by a sole trader based in Walsall. If you have a question about your data, email info@nkeysauto.co.uk.
What we collect
- When you contact us: your name, phone number, vehicle registration, where the car is, and anything you tell us about the job.
- When we do a job: your name and address, the vehicle's details, and a record that we checked your photo ID and V5C logbook, or the registered keeper's written permission.
Why we use it
- To reply to you, give you a price and do the work.
- To invoice you and keep the records tax law requires.
- To show we only work on vehicles for people entitled to them, which helps prevent vehicle crime.
Who sees it
Only us, and the services we use to run this website, our phone and our email. We share details with HMRC or the police only when the law requires it. We never sell your details.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't lead to a job are deleted within 12 months. Job and invoice records are kept for as long as tax law requires, usually six years.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we don't have to keep it. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
